In the ages of global communities on places like facebook and the like, the fact that this board sees less and less traffic and likely not a one of us, or few of us, play swg any longer... i am considering closing this board down and perhaps creating another, smaller. board on my personal site and letting realms fall to the way side

I don't know.. just something i am thinking about

This place has become a ghost site, it really has. If you are paying for the thing, can it. Not worth it any more honestly.

What does it really get used for lately? lolcatz pictures for the most part and that it is.

I'd say.. if you want anything on the site.. copy it.. give everyone notice to get what they want off of it.. and then take it down. While I do enjoy coming to it and getting to see what everyone is up to that I don't talk to on FB.. there really isn't much here anymore...

I am going to make a test on backing up the data and transfering it to another site on my main domain.. if nothing else make it an archive.. get rid of all the things not used in ages, keep the story sections, pics and whatnot but bag the rest

I'll agree with the others, it's been great, but we don't use this site much anymore, at least not for that it was intended, it's now more used for the lolcats pictures than anything.

Might try to save off some of the Mori and tantras stories / journals. ooo, and the kidnapping ones! those were good!

well right now i am running into a few issues backing it up.. and if i do back it up i will have another board but it would be more like.. community friends board with something in it for people who want a place to post that is not facebook.. but right now my key issue is that the databases are on different servers so it's going to take a little more testing
